Native gardens use a high percentage of locally occuring plants in their designs. Native gardens
attract native birds and insects for pollination and fruit. They include elements of texture and
cottage gardens, as they don’t necessarily have year-round flowers and native plants may not
look as structured as typical horticultural varieties
